Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.Conduct legal research and drafting as requestedWorks closely with in-house and outside counsel to support prosecution and maintenance of domestic and foreign patentsMaintain legal department document files as necessarySend documents and process payments for recording or filingAssists in drafting legal documents including Patent Office correspondence, power of attorney forms, affidavits and declarationsInteracts extensively with business groups to obtain invention disclosure information and other documentationSupports intellectual property litigation and due diligence projectsCorresponds with various registered agents regarding changes to Integer’s corporate structure and officersManages corporate minute books to ensure they are up-to-date and accurateUpdates corporate binders related to changes to Integer’s policies and proceduresConducts legal researchParticipate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures and programsProvide support on Mergers & AcquisitionsRespond to requests for informationBuild positive relationships with outside counsel and internal clientsProvide administrative support for attorney(s)Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Education & Experience:

Minimum Education:   B.A. degree preferred / Paralegal certification preferredMinimum Experience: 3+ years’ work experience as a paralegal in an in-house/corporate law department. 5-7 years of experience in intellectual property, patent paralegal, or related work preferred.

Knowledge & Skills:Skills or Experience:Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure, prioritize and handle numerous competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced working environmentAbility to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts including outside attorneys, senior management, and business associatesExcellent at multi-taskingAnticipate support needs of attorneys across a variety of corporate legal mattersSelf-motivated and proven ability to work effectively in independent settingsManage various legal department projects and initiativesIdentify and resolve or escalate issues in a timely mannerAbility to analyze, solve problems, and adapt to constantly changing priorities and organizational and operational needsAbility to use good judgment, maintain confidential information, be discreet and highly trustworthy, and demonstrate ethical conductExcellent written and verbal communication, time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills with close attention to detailAbility to provide superior customer service to internal clients at various levels and effectively partner cross-functionallyHighly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with electronic billing systemsAbility to learn new software programsPositive attitude and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive teamSpecialized Knowledge:Strong understanding of contract draftingUnderstanding of patent docketingDomestic and foreign patent renewalLitigation discoveryIP Due diligenceLaw firm invoicing U.S. Patent Office Rules, and Secretary of State procedures

IP Paralegal Salary: $60,000- $88,000
