Job Description Responsible for the effective operation of the IP and Transport layer, technical user interface, handling service requests, and assisting in the design, management, and operations of the Globe IP and optical network as a whole. Monitor the IP and Transport network to ensure that it is functioning according to design, and to ensure the availability of the network with minimal downtime

Key Responsibilities
1. Network Design and Engineering works: Design, Transport assessments, and engineering design for IP transport networks (including MPLS, VPNs, and routing protocols), Microwave networks & access DWDM networks.
2. Network Architecture: Develop and maintain network architecture standards, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
3. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex network issues, performing root cause analysis and resolving problems efficiently.
4. Network Optimization: Optimize network performance, capacity planning, and traffic engineering.
5. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including network operations, security, and IT.
6. Documentation: Maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and technical guides.
7. Technology Evaluation: Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend upgrades/changes to existing infrastructure.
 

Requirements
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, or related field.
2. Experience: 2+ years of experience in IP transport engineering or related field.
3. Certifications: CCIE, CCNP, or equivalent certifications is an advantage.
4. Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of:
- IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- MPLS, VPNs, and tunneling protocols (is an advantage)
- Network architecture and design principles
- Network management and monitoring tools
- Microwave networks
- Layer 2 network (switch, modem, etc.)
5. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
 

Nice to Have
1. Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
2. Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash).
3. Experience with network automation tools (Pathloss, Skylight, NCE).
