ING Singapore is looking for highly skilled motivated techno-functional Ops in the Financial Markets domain, and you would be part of global squads located in Amsterdam, Brussels, Bucharest, Singapore, New York within Competitive Pricing area in ING Financial Markets

Competitive Pricing, part of the FM&GT Tribe is a dynamic and contemporary workplace for a diverse Operations Engineer who enjoys technical and functional challenges. You will work closely with your business users and other squads to provide end to end support to various customer journeys.

The opportunity and teams:

As an Operations Engineer you will play a crucial role for ING Pricing Architecture Platform (IPA).  IPA is fully in-house developed platform that aims to centralize pricing and risk calculations for Financial Markets (FM) department of ING, and beyond. It is a global platform, used in all ING FM locations, and is developed and supported by multiple squads in Amsterdam, Belgium, Bucharest, Singapore and India.

You will be working as a core member of a multidisciplinary and cross-functional squad whom primary driver is the customer perspective.

You and your squad will be delivering key components spread over IPA/IPM squads of Competitive Pricing area in Wholesale Banking Financial Markets. IPM component is real-time & intraday monitoring and management of trading positions, risk and various financial report across various derivatives asset classes in FM trading business.

                           

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide functional support for the derivatives platform, ensuring smooth operation of real-time and intraday position management system during ASIA trading hours.Oversee and managing production incidents arise during trading activities, lead incident resolution efforts, coordinating with relevant teams and stakeholders to minimize disruptions.Drive for effective problem management, ensure preventive and detective measures of the applications are identified and resolved through the backlog and communication/ dialogue with the Product OwnerImplement and work with the latest tooling with a strong focus on performance, stability and securityFind opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance, and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more.Perform Functional testing and Change Management activities to ensure the safe deliveries to Production environment.Conduct user training sessions and create documentation to help user on system functionalities and reporting tools.You understand the entire stack’s technology on which the application runs and how it fits in the overall chain.work together with colleagues from other areas of expertise and take initiative in expanding knowledge (both within and outside of your area of expertise) that is relevant for the area in which you work.As part of a cross-border Squad you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Product Owner, and you demo your features/stories to other colleagues and the stakeholders.

Requirement

Bachelor’s/Master level in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or a related field.Solid experience in providing functional support to traders and risk management teams, preferably on real-position management system.Knowledge of the financial market products (e.g. Rates & Credits, Fixed Income, Repos, FX, Money Markets) and risk management conceptsA customer focus, with the mindset to find and resolve root causes of incidents to structurally improve the customer experience.IT Operations/Support experience, including Functional support to end users combined with analytical skills to identify root causes in workflows incidents (data, technical, functional).Good technical skills: Linux, python, scripting, SQL/Oracle, automated workflow orchestration tooling, affinity with modern distributed middleware (GridGain, Redis, Kafka to name a few)Familiarity with Grafana, Graphite and tools for alerting like PrometheusAffinity with IT Risk (SOx, vulnerability management) and Security concepts (protocols, certificates, etc).A good team player, cross functional, enjoys interacting with people of all levels in a multicultural environment.Proactive and attentive to other’s needs

Overall, the role requires a blend of technical expertise and functional understanding of financial markets, risk management concepts to provide effective support and drive continuous improvements for the IPA Platform.
