What you’ll do

Job purpose

High Level and Low Level Design engineering and network design optimization:

o Drive increased quality of our network end to end

o Provide HLDs, LLDs, define templates, modularize and industrialize configuration items and their implementation.

o Deploy the network fit for purpose including understanding of how our services/applications layer will run across the network (capacity, capability, utilisation)

o Implement Virtualisation and segregation concepts

o Conduct proof of concept (POC) validation

Responsible for optimal implementation process that delivers ensured quality:

o Achieve an harmonized & simplified network infrastructure

o Supervision of external supporters and 3rd parties

o Support, Test & Accept / Audit the deployed solution

o Hand over the accepted solution to Operations and Maintenance

o Define necessary test catalogues and test plans, document test & QA activities

o Manage and control the different existing test environments

o Deployment of the validated solution to its operational environment and deliver training

o Planning of Changes and support of Change Management Process

o Drive knowledge transfer and technical skill development within Network Implementation team

Responsible for budget definition and execution for the assigned activities

Responsible to ensure a network documentation

Responsible to ensure network harmonisation and standardization across the Region / the local market

o Detailed Knowledge in Data Centre infrastructure

o Expert Knowledge in networks (TCP/IP, Protocols, Structures, Hardware, Security)

o Expert Knowledge in the area of the installation and configuration of network components (Routers, Switches, VPN Gateways, Firewalls, Proxies and others)

o Expert Knowledge in routing protocols, VOIP technology, WLAN technology, DHCP, DNS, AD

o Expert Knowledge in network management and network analysis

o IP certification recommended (e.g. CCNA-CCNP-CCIE)
