HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACTYour Role:
The IRB Analyst works in the Institutional Review Board (IRB) Office within the Office of Research. Provides operational, technical, administrative assistance, and expertise in IRB/Privacy Board review, committee management, and oversight to ensure the rights and welfare of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare’s (TMH) research participants are protected. Plays a critical role ensuring TMH complies with institutional, state, and federal (i.e., Food and Drug administration (FDA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP)) regulations, requirements, and guidance, regarding human subjects protection in accordance with 45 CFR 46 (Protection of Human Subjects (a.k.a. “The Common Rule”), 46 CFR 160 (General Administrative Requirements) and 164 (Security and Privacy) (a.k.a. “The Privacy Rule”), 21 CFR 50 (Protection of Human Subjects), 21 CFR 56 (Institutional Review Boards), 21CFR 312 (Investigational New Drug Application), 21 CFR 812 (Investigational Device Exemptions), and others (as needed). Fully responsible, at times, for all aspects of IRB management, oversight, and human subjects protection regulations.Reports To:

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in health administration, science, social science, or a related field
Required Experience:
One (1) year of direct IRB experience reviewing and processing applications.NOTE: Human Resources (HR) may accept three (3) years of Clinical Research Coordinator or comparable experience in lieu of one (1) year of direct IRB experience.
Preferred Experience:
Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex information successfully and professionally to a wide variety of audiences.Ability to work as a team member. Ability to identify, prioritize, and plan tasks and projects (as necessary) to meet goals. Highly detail oriented.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
None at hire. Certified IRB Professional (CIP) credential from Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research (PRIM&R) required post-hire, within one (1) year of becoming eligible to sit for the certification examination.Non-certified incumbents will be given two (2) opportunities to pass the certification examination. Failure to obtain certification after the second examination will result in a review of one’s employment status for further action.
