Irrigation Technician Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Greets members and guests with a smile and takes care of their needs. Performs preventative maintenance on all irrigation equipment, including pump stations, irrigation controllers, and sprinklers. Operates, maintains, and repairs irrigation system, including leaks in distribution lines, valves, and risers. Repairs control lines and sprinkler heads.  Maintains and repairs satellite controllers. Inspects the various components of the irrigation system, periodically, to ensure proper operation. Represents the club with the utmost of professionalism. Cleans maintenance area and equipment daily. Follows safety guidelines described in the operating procedures and generally practices behavior that ensures the safety of the employee, co-workers, members, and guests. 

Irrigation Technician Experience & Qualifications:

Working knowledge and applicability of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and of various types of pumps and pumping systems. Must have valid driver’s license to operate Club vehicle.

Irrigation Technician Skills & Knowledge:

Excellent communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people. Pro-active problem solver who is both approachable and tactful. Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions. Must be able to troubleshoot problems and have the aptitude to repair equipment. Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members.

Irrigation Technician Physical Requirements:

Stands, kneels, bends, climbs, balances, pushes and walks for 95% of workday.  Lifts from 1 pound up to 10 pounds for 90% of workday.  Lifts from 1 pound up to 25 pounds for 50% of workday.  Lifts and moves from 1 pound up to 50 pounds for 25% of workday.  Stoops, crawls, reaches, twists, and manipulates equipment and power tools to complete work assignments.  Exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, loud noise levels and or airborne particles.  Works outdoors in inclement weather 90% of the workday.
