Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to define a planning strategy that includes a full list of activities that are important for the management of project, to decide on a project delivery methodology (waterfall, agile, etc.), and to align with stakeholders. Each day, you will plan, schedule, coordinate, and deliver the Information Systems (IS) project outcomes within agreed time, scope, cost, and agreed quality. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating appropriate information to stakeholders promptly to achieve desired understanding and support and effectively managing stakeholders' expectations and relationships.The work model for the role is Hybrid in Cary, NC• Managing and leading (virtual) team of highly effective IS professionals in a cross-cultural environment.• Ensure the delivery of activities utilizing internal IS delivery units as well as external 3rd party suppliers.• Close adherence delivering high quality IS solutions that are compliant with all applicable ABB Regulations and ABB Group Guidelines and policies.• Define and manage organization and services governance, aligning responsibilities and accountabilities with internal and external stakeholders. • Execute, for assigned tasks, all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI specification. Defines and manages the metrics needed to deliver strategic initiatives.• As part of project management, manage executive stakeholders across multiple divisions and act as advisor and guide to the IS organization, business functions and delivering partners.• Assures stakeholders’ satisfaction through a strong governance and proactive effective communication.• Manages dependencies and resolves conflicts to other ABB departments, functional areas, and cross-organization dependencies.• Deliver projects with high quality in alignment with budget and timeline expectations.• Driving customer service to ensure satisfaction with Information Systems services, closing any gaps, and influencing stakeholder perceptions of Information Systems services.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology or related field. 5 – 7 years of experience leading IS projects (ERP, Infrastructure, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Software Deployment, etc.). Project Management/Change Management certifications (e.g. Prosci, ITIL, PMP. Prince2, Agile etc.) would be advantageous. Fluent in English at executive presentation level. Availability to travel up to 10% Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
