This role is based on Disney's private island in The Bahamas.

As General Maintenance – Plumbing, you will perform general preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, as well as, responding to guest or operational repair needs, with focus on assigned discipline. You will operate a variety of equipment and machinery including saws, drill presses and hand/power tools.

You will report to the Assistant Manager – Island General Maintenance Responsibilities: Your Responsibilities – How You Will Make a DifferenceExecute work orders and estimate time and materialsPerform plumbing maintenance, inspections and repairs, including troubleshooting water delivery systems/drainsInstall, maintain, repair or replace water heaters and recirculating pumpsPerform renovation and preventive maintenance functionsPromote a safe work environment; Comply with the safety competencies, and all company policiesMay provide lateral service to other departments Basic Qualifications: Basic Qualifications – What You Will Bring to the Team3 or more years experience in the areas of general maintenance/plumbing; Experience can be substituted with technical/vocational training in general maintenance plumbing and repair or other relevant experience for understudy developmentKnowledge of the standard practices, methods, tools, and materials common to general maintenance plumbingKnowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of general maintenance plumbingExperience using trade tools including drain cleaning equipment, cameras, jetting, torches, grooving machines, pipe threaders, closet auger and plungerThis is a field service position that may include work from ladders, elevated platforms and working in confined spaces Additional Information: This role is based on Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.
