Summer Internship Program

The program is a 12-week paid internship immersive experience that provides functional learning working on robust and challenging project work, Executive and Senior leadership engagement, and exposure to Danaher Business System fundamentals. The program culminates with a report-out presentation to leaders from the organization. After successful completion of the program, interns will have the opportunity to return as a full-time associate upon graduation.

This position is part of the Enterprise Applications and Data Platforms (EADP) department located in Brea, CA. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Business Intelligence (BI) team and report to the Senior Manager Business Applications responsible for Enterprise Analytics Applications and Data Platforms. The Analytics Intern for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for developing data driven visualizations, dashboards and reports that  answer pressing business questions across a wide range of functional areas.  This requires understanding business processes and objectives, as well as the underlying data.  The individual will also have an opportunity to modernize the BI data architecture, prototyping new technologies and concepts. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science or related fieldExpertise developing analyses and visualizations with applications such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.Experience with relational databases and SQLModeling structured and/or unstructured data. Familiarity with data warehouses, data lakes, and data architecture concepts.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Communicating technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and vice versa.Defining business processes and converting them to technical requirements.Using data science tools and techniques such as Python, R, data mining.

The hourly range for this role is $30.00. This is the rate that we in good faith believe is the rate of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
