Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IT and Automation Specialist to join our team in the manufacturing and medical devices sector. This individual will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems and automation technologies that enhance production processes and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT infrastructure, automation technologies, and familiarity with the specific needs of the manufacturing and medical device industries.

Key Responsibilities: Automation Systems Management: Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of automated systems in manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. IT Infrastructure Management: Support and maintain IT systems, servers, networks, and databases, ensuring that all systems are secure, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. System Integration: Integrate automation systems with existing IT infrastructure to ensure seamless communication between devices, software, and production lines. Compliance and Security: Ensure all automation and IT systems meet the regulatory requirements for the medical device industry (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485). Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices for safeguarding sensitive data. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT and automation systems, addressing issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements for automation systems and IT infrastructure to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and production, to ensure alignment of IT and automation solutions with business objectives and compliance standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of all systems, processes, and procedures. Provide regular reports on system performance, upgrades, and issues. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in IT systems management and automation within a manufacturing or medical device environment. Hands-on experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI, etc.) and IT infrastructure (servers, networking, cybersecurity). Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP is a plus. Skills: Strong knowledge of IT system administration, including Windows/Linux server environments, databases, and network security. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, SQL). Experience with automation protocols (Modbus, OPC, BACnet, etc.) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud-based IT infrastructure and data analytics tools. Certifications in IT (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) or automation (ISA, Siemens, Rockwell). Familiarity with medical device manufacturing and related compliance standards.
