As the IT and infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for planning, organizing and implementing systems and telecommunications, guaranteeing users a timely and quality service at the lowest cost for the organization, supervising the facilities of the Toluca Plant and the FTEC Engineering Center, both belonging to Fisher Controles de México SA de CV.
**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
Conduct an analysis of equipment and systems needs in accordance with Emerson standards and ensure that operating systems are the corporate versions.
Maintain update software versions for business unit use on all equipment, aligning with regulations.
Ensure together with the Delivery Service team the hardware inventory control in GAMS.
Maintain the infrastructure standard up to date according to OneEmerson global guidelines.
Maintain hardware inventory (computer equipment, telecommunication equipment and peripheral equipment) together with the delivery services team at GAMS.
Systematically review the status of OnPrem and SolarWinds servers.
Control hardware that is unique to the business unit and not registered in GAMS as well as alarms.
Lead contracts and payments for telephony services that are not handled by delivery service.
Provide technical support to users and detect needs by conditioning the system according to the modifications of the operation itself or to specific user requirements, supported by MyITPortal tickets.
Schedule preventive maintenance to company-owned equipment belonging to the Delivery Service inventory.
Support BI and IA teams in the projects to be implemented.
Perform audits to users to eliminate software that does not have the Emerson license, and that does not archive documentation beyond the periods established by the corporate or the law.
Prepare annual budgets for computer and telecommunications resources, taking into account new technologies that streamline and economize IT services.
Report total cost of ownership in the IT infrastructure, as well as the cost of monthly operations to adjust budgets and resolve objectives.
Ensure the backup of OnPrem information, and ensure in routine events the restoration of files, supervise that the option of the latest version is configured in the file server folders.
Tickets system control.
Report electrical installations so that they are in adequate conditions to protect from power variations.
Control software licenses and contracts with suppliers of the business unit's applications and do not control delivery services.
Ensure accurate control of access codes (passwords) to the different systems and align to procedures established for cybersecurity
Establish, maintain, supervise and test DRP (Data Recovery Plan) systems at least once a year.
Support compliance with the Law for the protection of personal data owned by third parties with controls for critical information.
Align with quality and IT standards and preventive and corrective action, as well as document control, custody to company's property
Ensure that the places designated for backup, servers and critical materials have the physical security to prevent access by unauthorized personnel and ensure the continuity of the operation.
Establish and maintain electronic access control to guarantee restricted access to information technology areas.
Support the CTPAT and OEA processes in the organization to ensure compliance with these programs.
