IT Application Generalist Job Description What is the job about? The primary objective of this role is to act as an IT Application Generalist, managing and optimizing business applications within Grundfos Water Treatment. Provide consultancy, advice, and best practices for the selection of new solutions. Continuously improve the current application landscape. Implement new solutions and decommission old ones. Shape the future roadmap, execute it, and drive the development and deployment of existing and new solutions, ensuring a future-proof setup. This position involves securing support and maintenance for various business applications such as ACT!CRM, Mosaico, Replica, Qlikview, Autodesk, Arxivar and more in collaboration with External partners. The role is pivotal in the consolidation journey of Grundfos Water Treatment, ensuring standardization and efficiency across applications while aligning with the broader Grundfos strategy. Additionally, the role includes leading new software requests, identifying suitable solutions that adhere to Grundfos IT guidelines, and overseeing their implementation and transition to IT support. Your main responsibilities: • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align application strategies with overall business objectives. • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions. • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of applications and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience. • Training and Support: Provide training and support through external partners to end-users to maximize the effectiveness of business applications. • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all applications comply with internal and external regulations, including data protection and IT security standards. Your background We imagine that you have: • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar role. This experience should include familiarity with Application management • Knowledge of application life cycle management • Knowledge and experience with the disciplines; License management, Data compliance and IT Security, Integration management and Negotiations • Alignment with Grundfos Values, demonstrating Customer Centricity, Accountability, and Collaboration as key behaviours. • Strong communication skills, with fluency in written and verbal English. • Proficiency in IT. • Excellent collaborative skills. • Structured, self-driven, and proactive approach. • Ability to work independently. • Take joy in connecting and working with people in various roles across the organisation. • Commitment to continuous learning and researching. • Focus on delivering results and meeting customer expectations. • Expertise in applying technology and specialized knowledge.
