IT Application Manager, Helix

Purpose of Role

As IT Applications Manager, you are accountable for People management of team leaders and thought leadership in application management, accountable for driving operational maturity in supporting the Automation, Data and Analytics, and Integration solutions. Your impact will be seen in these key areas:

Application Management: Leading the team in the effective and efficient adoption of the persistent solution delivery model to provide maximum value to the organization. Business Engagement: Actively engaging with internal stakeholders to influence outcomes, promoting IT AGSS services and effectively managing business expectations with SLAs and KPIs. Operational Excellence: Driving a culture of continual service improvement in the team, keeping performance and processes in line with strategy and adapting service delivery methods to meet evolving business needs. People Management: Continuously uplifting capability and creating a high performing team operating within an innovative and collaborative culture and in alignment with Aurecon Ethos.

Operations / Delivery Management

Having a deep understanding of Automation, and Data analytics and reporting.Being accountable for the analysis, design, construction & delivery of Automation, Data Engineering and Business Intelligence Reporting services Being accountable for the continued operation and incident management of Automation, Data Engineering and Business Intelligence Reporting servicesWorking with management and leading the squad/s to build and implement solutions in line with the business strategies.Resource Capability & Capacity Planning: Managing workflow and resources to optimise value for clients.Complying with, developing and enhancing standards and processes for software engineering/development and support.Ensuring that service interruptions are properly captured, prioritised, and resolved, with appropriate root cause analysis and plan to avoid recurrence.Ensuring acceptable performance of Automation, and Data analytics and reporting services and associated external support providers to meet established service level agreement, KPIs and business needs.Ensuring management of application availability, capacity and performance underpinned by appropriate planning that meets the current and forecasted needs of the business.Ensuring timely and comprehensive operational reporting to Enterprise Applications Manager, providing insights and recommendation for continuous service improvement.Removing inefficiencies and maximising flow, from ideation to value realisation.Anticipating hurdles and have contingency plans to circumvent them.Establishing a culture of flexibility and adaptability to varying shift requirements and operation hours to fulfil real time business requirements.

Product Management

Ensuring application is properly managed and fit for purpose.Working with stakeholders to streamline business processes and address business problems through application solutions.

Stakeholder Management

Working closely with business stakeholders for delivery of work in Automation, and Data analytics and reporting systems.Ensuring effective communication between stakeholders and the Automation, and Data Analytics and Enterprise Reporting teams.Collaborating with IT Business Partners, IT Managers and Domain Architects, and align team objectives to enable Aurecon strategies and roadmaps.

People Management

Driving capability maturity in team management and technical skills, and be responsible for talent development and team engagement to build high performing teams and meet evolving business needs.Ensuring that the team provides high quality work, guided by optimized processes and enabled with adaptive capabilities, flexible capacity and proactive succession planning.Acting and liaising with team members to resolve any matters that arise relating to performance on a timely manner.
