JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Summary:

The Okta Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Okta identity management and authentication solutions within an organization. This role involves collaborating with IT, security teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless and secure access to applications and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

Okta Administration:

Manage and maintain the Okta platform, including configuration, user provisioning, and access policies.Monitor the health and performance of the Okta environment.

Integration and Implementation:

Integrate Okta with various applications and systems (on-premises and cloud-based).Implement Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and other identity and access management (IAM) features.

Security and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.Perform regular security assessments and audits of the Okta environment.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Okta-related issues.Collaborate with support teams to resolve identity and access management issues.

Documentation and Training:

Create and maintain documentation related to Okta configurations, processes, and policies.Provide training and guidance to end-users and IT staff on Okta functionalities and best practices.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest Okta features, updates, and industry trends.Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the identity management framework.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as an Okta Engineer or in a similar IAM role.Strong understanding of identity and access management principles and best practices.Hands-on experience with Okta configuration and administration.Familiarity with security protocols and standards such as SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Okta Certified Professional or other relevant certifications.Experience with other IAM tools and platforms.Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their IAM capabilities.Understanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.

Compensation Range:

$71,600.00 - $136,500.00

Compensation Frequency:

Annual

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
