What will you do?

The IT Application Specialist is responsible for administration and support of various enterprise applications. This role involves license management, implementing access control best practices, ensuring application hygiene, and resolving L1/L2 issues.
This role requires a strong understanding of application administration principles and working knowledge of the applications in scope.

Maintain software application licenses, ensuring compliance with vendor agreements and budget constraints.
• Manage user access control, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and role management across multiple applications.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure proper user permissions and adherence to security policies.
• Implement strategies for maintaining application hygiene, including regular updates, backups, and performance tuning.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues and escalate complex issues to application support vendor as necessary.
• Comply with ITSM processes and standards in supporting the applications in scope.
• Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the IT service management organization.
• Maintain and update documentation for processes, configurations, and best practices.

What can you bring to the team?

Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need a relevant technical qualification and chartered status would be preferable.

Essential Work Experience:

Proven experience as a Jira and Confluence Administrator with a strong understanding of both applications.Demonstrated experience in license and access management for Jira and Confluence.Solid knowledge of system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting for Jira and Confluence.Experience with application hygiene practices, including performance monitoring and regular maintenance.Familiarity with application access/security best practices and compliance standards.Experience in a global shared services setup

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Background in Agile methodology and IT service management (ITSM)
