General Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Data Architect and Engineer, Senior Staff to join our IT Commercial Solutions team.  As a key leader, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing robust data architecture that align with our organizational objectives.  This role will support multiple business functions includes Sales & Marketing, Service, Finance and other corporate functions.  The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of data modeling, data platforms and data engineering, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex data initiatives.  Candidates should be passionate about driving innovation, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical expertise in a collaborative environment. 

*This is an onsite position in San Diego

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solutionsDesign and implement robust data architectures that align with the organizations strategic goalsLead cross-functional efforts to understand complex data related architectures and create a strategic plan to modernizeLead the development and maintenance of data models, ensuring scalability, performance and securityOversee the implementation of data governance and quality standards to ensure data accuracy and reliabilityProvide technical leadership in the evaluation and selection of data management tools and technologiesLead efforts in data engineering, integration, migration and transformation initiativesMentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and developmentConduct autonomous research, learning and testing of new IT technology to develop new processes, applications, or solutions, and presents detailed demonstrations or proof of concepts to peers and senior leaders across business unitsCollaborate with enterprise stakeholders to support best-practices, conventions and strategic goalsCommunicates within and outside of project team to resolve conflicts in implementation schedules, design challenges, and other complexities

Basic Candidates will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or MISAWS Platform & Related Data Services (Other cloud platforms a plus)12+ years’ experience delivering data related projects including data discovery, design, modeling, data management8+ years hands on data engineering experiencePrograming (Python, SQL, NoSQL, Spark)Data Management & Visualization (Tableau, QlikView, etc)Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologiesStrong sense of ownership and growth mindsetCuriosity about the problem domain and an analytical approachStrong oral and written communication skills. Ability to conduct meetings and make professional presentations, and to explain complex concepts and technical material to non-technical usersStrong influence skills to drive business adoption and change

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of IT-specific work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
OR
9+ years of IT-specific work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS CertifiedExperience implementing Data Catalogs and Data GovernanceCertified in SAFe AgileAbility to lead use case development and document potential business value

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$138,500.00 - $207,500.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
