About the role:
The successful candidate will be responsible to architect and implement solutions to identified security issues and required upgrades to Cloud infrastructure.

As an individual contributor, you will be responsible to analyze, create solutions, and implement upgrades and fixes to the most complex items that the team is responsible for. You will be responsible to interact with architects on other teams to ensure standard infrastructure components do not introduce new known issues.

As a technology leader, you will be responsible to guide DevOps engineers through analysis, solutioning, and implementation of upgrades and fixes to all security and end-of-life issues.

About the team:
FIS's Public Cloud infrastructure is among the largest in the world. The Modernization team is responsible to address security issues in Public Cloud infrastructure, and proactively communicate and upgrade infrastructure to avoid “end of life” scenarios for all LOB-supporting infrastructure managed by Public Cloud (all “network and foundation”, as well as all other infrastructure [VMs, Kubernetes, etc] for “Cloud Services-built” lines of business).

What you will be doing:
• Analyze, create solutions, and implement upgrades and fixes to the most complex items that the team is responsible for.

• Identify root cause of issues

• Interact with architects on other teams to ensure root causes are resolved (for example, ensuring standard infrastructure components do not introduce new known issues).

• Guide DevOps engineers through analysis, solutioning, and implementation of upgrades and fixes to all security and end-of-life issues.

• Document technical resolutions to known issues and required upgrades. Define and maintain a library to host the resolution documentation

What you will need:
• 5+ years experience architecting and implementing Public Cloud solutions.

• 3+ years experience architecting and implementing solutions using Terraform Enterprise in Azure

• 10+ years experience architecting and implementing infrastructure solutions in a large organization (>5000 employees)

• Expertise with end-to-end systems development life cycles and a background leading large projects.
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques.
• A bachelor’s in computer science or engineering, or the equivalent experience – post-graduate education desired.
