IT Area Support Services Manager

The role of IT Area Support Manager for our Northern California area will:

Focus on information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the HDR’s information systems including:

•Responsible for the day-to-day operations of IT support for a user base of approximately 700 located in Northern California.

•Assume this leadership position in the Support Services organization responsible for running all aspects of an IT support team; our current team has seven (7) team members

•Ability to apply technology to address business needs and constraints

• Plan, direct and coordinate all operational delivery activities required to conceptualize, design, construct, test, and/or implement business and technical IT solutions

• Combine a breadth of IT technical expertise with an overriding concern and urgency for excellent customer service

• Participate in enterprise-wide IT projects and initiatives

• Supervise hardware, software, mobile device, printer and printing support

• Oversee office coordination and communication of technical support topics/issues of interest

•Ensure that service delivery performance and customer experience goals and objectives are met at a cost acceptable to the business

•Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.

•Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders.

• Perform other duties as needed

• Valid driver's license required

• Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related technical area, or the relevant combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 3 years IT management/lead experience; a minimum of 5 years IT experience, including IT Support Services Experience in working with business users to establish priorities and manage expectations Superior client service skills Proven track record of providing local and remote IT support for multiple locations Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to travel up to 30% - 40% of the time Strong customer-service orientation Experience with budgeting and managing to a budget Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) California: $98,560.00 - $160,000.00
