IT Asset & Configuration Manager

This position is within the Core IT Services department, which provides IT infrastructure platform to the business. You will be part of a global team responsible for IT Service Management & Integration (ITSM&I), collaborating with colleagues across Europe and Asia.

The team focuses on the ownership, continuous improvement and execution of key IT processes, manages the ITSM platform (ServiceNOW), supports integration and oversight of service providers and the service transition of new applications.

This position will be based in Frankfurt or Hong Kong.

What you will do

• Manage and support ITAM (incl. Software Asset Management) and CMDB-related (Configuration Management Data Base) projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, scope, and budget

• Establish and develop a license management process including operating model, governance and tooling

• Act as a responsible owner for the assigned processes, drive maturity and adoption across the organization in collaboration with other Process Owners in the ITSM&I

• Create management decision-papers, status reports and other documentation

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (i.e. ITIL), regulations, and best practices in ITAM and CMDB processes (incl. benchmarking and KPIs)

• Lead, support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize ITAM and CMDB processes and enhance overall efficiency

• Provide guidance and support to team members on ITAM and CMDB best practices and methodologies

• Act as a point of contact to third-party(-ies) and service providers, Enterprise Architecture, IT Support, IT Compliance, Information Security, Business Resilience, Procurement, Finance and other cross-functions

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and develop detailed project plans

• Oversee the execution of project tasks, ensuring effective coordination and communication among team members and stakeholders

• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues and challenges

• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders on project progress

• Develop and maintain documentation and standards during the projects and in operations

• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in ITAM and CMDB practices

What you bring

Required

• University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics and/ or similar areas

• 8+ years of experience in IT service management, IT operations

• 5+ years of experience working with ServiceNow platform

• Ability to understand and translate complex technology processes into business relevant language and decision making

• Proven experience in IT asset management (ITAM), IT configuration management (CMDB), license management

• Proven experience in leading and delivering complex projects in IT operations and/ or transformation

• Working experience in ServiceNOW platform and/ or its development and operations

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Certification in Discovery, HAM and/or SAM

• ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and CSDM (Common Service Data Model) certification and practical knowledge

• Strong communication (both written and oral), problem-solving and change management skills

• Excellent knowledge of English both written and verbal (German is a nice to have)

Preferred

• Experience in the financial, banking and/ or asset management sector

• Experience in creation and maintenance of the Information Domain for large organizations 

• Experience with multicultural and international teams, and collaboration with external service providers in a multisource environment

• CMDB, CSDM and other relevant certifications

• Knowledge in regulatory requirements, such as Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), KAIT, VAIT, etc.

• Experience in IT Service Continuity Management and/or Business Continuity Management
