Job Purpose/Mission/Summary

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for managing IT assets of assigned areas to ensure proper control over their usage and maintenance. This role includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to asset management and reporting on time. The IT Asset Manager will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all IT assets within the organization. They are accountable for providing reports on progress towards achieving goals set forth in the IT Strategy Plan as well as identifying risks associated with non-compliance or failure to meet objectives. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Manage IT assets of assigned areas to ensure proper control over their usage and maintenance Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to asset management Report on time regarding any changes made to existing systems/software/hardware etc., so that appropriate action can be taken accordingly Maintain accurate records of all IT assets within the organization Provide regular updates regarding progress towards achieving goals set forth in the IT Strategy Plan Identify risks associated with non-compliance or failure to meet objectives Develop strategies for mitigating these risks and implementing solutions to address them effectively Must-have Qualifications: Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to think critically and solve problems independently Highly organized individual capable of multitasking effectively without compromising quality standards Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Visio, Project, SharePoint, and OneNote Experience working with Agile methodologies highly desirable Familiarity with ITIL best practices preferred but not essential Strong analytical abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal skills necessary for building strong relationships internally and externally Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT) or equivalent experience preferred At least five years of relevant work experience required
