IT Associate Engineer, Cloud (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid role. The first three moths are fulltime in the office.
Our Team
Under direct supervision, assists with implementing policies for the use of cloud services, managing requests for new technology, establishing a secure cloud environment, working with cloud architects to implement technical designs, and ensuring appropriate availability of services, also known as uptime.
Essential Functions:
Collaborates with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutionsAssists with the modification and improvement of existing systems.Assists with training teams on implementation of new technologies and initiatives.Identifies, analyzes, and resolves infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.Maintains and supports Eversource’s cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure.Works with tier 2 and 3 teams on any escalations for support related items.Optimizes Cloud infrastructure for efficiency.Works with Cloud Architects to deliver IaaS and PaaS using Azure.Ensures Cloud resources are kept up to date with latest security patches and best practices.Maintains security for infrastructure per guidelines for a regulated company.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Demonstrates knowledge of and supports each entity's mission and vision, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality guidelines and code of ethical behavior.Some understanding of cloud computing technologies. Optionally, demonstrated hands on experience in one or more of the following:
Core IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, High AvailabilityData Platform and Bigdata: SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse, Machine Learning, Azure Data FactoryAzure PaaS Services: Redis Cache, Service Bus, Event Hub, Azure AppService and FunctionsAzure Networking: Virtual networks, routing, and virtual network paringIdentity and Authentication: AD/AzurePreferred but not required: Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes ServiceExperience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plusExperience in Infrastructure as Code leveraging Terraform/ARMEducation:
Bachelor of Science in computer science, related technical discipline or related experience.Experience:
Zero to three years in a technical background with a core focus in either infrastructure or cloud technologies within a medium to larger enterprise environment.Licenses & Certifications:
Azure certifications are a plus but not requiredWorking Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required.Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.Flexible to work outside of standard office hours if requested.Mental Aspects:
