JOB PURPOSE
The IT Audit Associate is responsible for supporting IT risk assessments by understanding business objectives, internal controls, and IT infrastructure. He/she is responsible for conducting audit work and testing various systems and functions, assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in conducting IT risk assessment by understanding business objectives, internal controls, and the IT infrastructure.
- Perform auditing tasks and tests various systems used across the company and different IT functions.
- Support in the assessment of the effectiveness of internal controls in design and operation.
- Prioritize and assist in scheduling audit tests to be performed, engaging with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information. Actively participate in audit teams to ensure thorough examination and evaluation of internal controls and processes.
- Contribute to the identification of departmental operational efficiencies and changes in auditing operations.
- Evaluate controls designed to prevent or detect fraud, including management's control overrides.
- Prepare and present findings and observations as needed.
- Communicate audit results and recommendations orally and in writing to the management.
- Expand knowledge regarding regulations, frameworks, and emerging technologies.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), or Information Technology, or Network and Telecommunication, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Zero to two years of experience in Information Systems Auditing, or Cybersecurity, or Information Security, or a similar role.
