SUMMARY

IT Backup Engineer III with Minimum with 7+ years of experience in Back-up operations on prem & Cloud, Engineer will report in Manager - Virtualization and will be responsible for the 24/7 support & maintenance (Shift applicable).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Contribute to Cloud, DR & BCP Strategy of the IT Hybrid Infrastructure & Terraform. Hands on experience with Multi Cloud / Hybrid Environment Assessment of Backup infrastructure to support the applications, data, and business processes resiliency objectives and maintaining RTO & RPO. Migration of on-prem backup environment to cloud environment. Working Knowledge on Cloud Backup technologies, Backup setups. Experience in Capacity planning and perform analysis of current landscape of Storage. Defining target/Future state of storage landscape Define security and backup procedure & automate repetitive tasks (Opensource knowledge preferred) Govern the current backup solution to the maximum possible back-up success rate and the fastest possible restore time. Participate in 24x7 on-call support (Shift Applicable) Perform a full range of ITIL service delivery skills, Incident and Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration and Release Management Undertake ad-hoc out of business hours work for occasional support from the RealPage NOC. Participates in the BCP Strategy of the IT Infrastructure. Contributes to Infrastructure plans to support BCP strategy. Contributes to processes & procedures for cut-over to DR site.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Minimum 7+ years of experience into Back-up and Networker/Data-domain, Cloud, Terraform. Hands on experience with Multi Cloud / Hybrid Environment Experience in Networker and/or Veeam, Data-domain, ECS and DPA is mandatory. Experience with any other backup software products such as, PPDM, Actifio, Data Protector, NetApp, Symantec is a plus. Working Knowledge on Cloud Platforms (AWS & GCP). Good Knowledge of storage/VMware/network technologies.  Mandatory operating systems knowledge including Windows/Linux is required. Professional certifications of any of the above mentioned technologies. Perform Root Cause Analysis where appropriate, propose and implement long-term fixes 10.Implement solutions, manage change, and add backup policies in a large-scale, mission-critical, multi-TB backup environment. 11.Implementation, management and maintenance of backup solutions utilizing Networker, DD Boost, and Data Domain 12.Administration of Elastic Cloud Storage, and Data Protection Advisor
