The IT Budget and Procurement Analyst is responsible for Responsibilities include preparing and monitoring IT budgets, analyzing costs, and overseeing procurement activities for IT spending. The role involves collaborating with various functions and vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining compliance with policies. Strong skills in budgeting, procurement, financial analysis, and management of $20M+ are essential.

This position is part of the Global IT Team servicing SCIEX, Molecular Devices, and the Life Sciences Platform and will be located in Concord office.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

Budget Management and Analysis:- Develop, monitor, and adjust IT department budgets. Analyze spending trends and ensure alignment with financial goals. Identify and report on budget variances, proposing corrective actions.Procurement Planning:- Manage procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring compliance with all policies. Evaluate vendor bids, negotiate contracts (MSA, SOW, order forms), and secure cost-effective pricing through negotiations, internal benchmarking, consolidating.Vendor and Contract Management:- Compliantly maintain relationships with vendors during negotiations and evaluations to identify potential issues and risks, track contract renewals, and ensure SLAs are met. Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.Financial Forecasting and Reporting:- Work with finance, IT teams and other budget owners to forecast IT expenses and prepare financial reports. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations on cost-saving opportunities.Basic Procurement Functions:- Identify opportunities to standardize and improve current processes, benchmark industry standards and pricing, improve DPO, work cross functionally with special teams (Legal, Privacy, Security, Finance) for new vendors. Review IT usage, services, technology, and department specific projects to identify, forecast, and develop IT needs. Ability to move total cost savings opportunities to action. 

The essential requirements of the job include:  

5+ years of experience in Budgeting, procurement experience, and negotiating with vendors (pricing, terms, etc)Experience in IT Procurement and managing budgets preferredBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.Experience with negotiating contracts, strong communication skills, project management ability, and proficient in Microsoft applications.Competent in procurement software and budgeting tools.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: 

Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems preferred.
