The Mainframe Monitoring and Automation team within Mainframe Delivery is responsible for the Design, Deployment and Support of our secure Automation and monitoring functions. We support front line day to day operations managing infrastructure tools and applications through message and system alerting and instruction and responsible for our DR Scripting via GDPS

Job Description/Accountabilities:
This job posting is for IT Build Analyst I Mainframe MMA team
Looking for an energetic and motivated individual seeking to dig into the world of mainframe automation within a technically diverse environment. This role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their skills and see the results of their efforts while working within an established team focused on automation. The individual will utilize and enhance coding standards leveraging best practices. Along with building automated solutions the individual will be engaged in Disaster recovery testing and validation exercises.
Key Skills we are looking for:
Motivated self-starter, eager to learn and determined to succeed.Background in mainframe automation coding with a background in operations would be a strong asset.Strong understanding of IBM z/OS technology.Ability to take initiative, to learn and develop.College/University education within IT with specialization in coding/programming/networking/storageStrong communication skills both written and orally.An individual who is eager to solve problems.An understanding of mainframe and unix security concepts and practices.Ability to accommodate off hour changes and on-call duties.Other Skills
Experience with REXX, Netview Pipes programming languages.
Netview/System Automation and GDPS installation and administration.
Knowledge of Mainframe maintenance solutions such as SMPE would be an Asset.
Knowledge of Mainframe TSO environment using ISPF and SDSF.
