The Position

Your key responsibilities:

Is an active part in the product’s lifecycle management and ensures that any solution is chosen to fulfill known and understood business requirements, fitting into the Product roadmap definitions and continuously providing business value over its lifecycle.

Often assumes the additional role of IT Business Partner, Product Manager, Squad Lead where appropriate

Develops and maintains the business case including high level solution options and resource estimates and resource confirmation as in support to the strategic backlog management process

Acts as an interface between business and IT functions and as a contact point for business leads in order to launch initiatives, leading and driving the scoping phase.

Collaborates with IT Business Partner and/or Product Manager in business development activities like translating business strategy in technology enabled strategies, C-POD activities, portfolio management processes, feasibility studies, clarifying available technology on the market and vendor selection (RFI/RFP/RFQ)

Strives for harmonization of business processes across sites and departments by propagating common standardized data models, applications and technologies that are in line with the cross-functional or functional Informatics strategies and architectures.

Performs typical Business Analysis activities and creates deliverables as per Roche standards within a squad/project like a Business Case, Project Charter and URS/User Stories

Understand R&D Business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.

Works with delivery and the project team to ensure that the final solution matches the URS and customer’s needs and is delivered according to plan

Your qualifications and experience:

Experience in work related to IT Solutions with excellent understanding of solution design practices, preferably in healthcare industry

Has hands-on knowledge and deep understanding of several domains of R&D in the Life science industry (e.g. Bio-Informatics, Chem-Informatics, Scientific Computing, Science infrastructure, Lab management, etc.).

Exhibits strong knowledge of the overall drug discovery and development process, and business processes related to it.

Master's Degree or above equivalent in an IT and Biomedical related discipline.

5+ years’ experience in IT Business Analysis or consultancy 

2+ years’ experience in Project Management

Strong knowledge of the business processes on industry standard drug discovery & development

Strong IT application knowledge experiences

Strong understanding of multi modal data (i.e. data from omics, digital pathology, lab etc.) and able to convert business requirements into technical requirements.

Knowledge and experience in Merging & Acquisition area (IT / Business) is a plus

Experience in working with virtual/dispersed project/service teams

Ability to develop relationships with people originating from various cultures

Ability to decompose problems and find the best solutions

Ability to influence and build productive relationships with all key stakeholders.

Effective leadership, coordination, motivational, negotiation and dispute resolution

Design thinking & Improvement mindset

Strong project and change management skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Proficient in English and Chinese is a MUST
