The Refining and Chemical branch of TotalEnergies is looking for an Intern to work in our downtown Houston office. This will be a paid internship starting as possible.

Activities

Develop, optimize and maintain business and financial analysis tools

Operationalize Power BI solution and conduct advanced analyticsElaborate dashboard to summarize commercial activities of the Front Office teamSupport any digital improvement that commercial managers need to better define business strategyProvide IT support to follow-up contract performance in liaise with Commercial ManagersDevelop dashboard to help communication on Financial ResultsOrganize the collection of data for the “Result Forecast“ exerciseStreamline IT processes through the different tools (SAP, Medissys…)

Identify and Support IT developments for RSTO-BC

Develop Back-office automation (e.g. Superfund tax, automatic billing)Perform modernization of the BTP indicator spreadsheet, and seek optimization of other RSTO-BC spreadsheetTrack manual tasks and automize as much as possible to search for efficiencyWork with each team to identify improvement through data collection and data visualization.Provide data expertise to the RSTO-BC team o Train the team to use the developed tools

  Provide expertise and dashboarding RSTO-BC key performance indicators

Train the team to use the developed toolsProvide expertise and dashboarding RSTO-BC key performance indicatorsProvide configuration support for corporate IT applications (Integrated Data Information System, Material Balance reconciliation tools, …) and data preparation tools (using Visual Basic programming) used by the Refinery Planning & Economics team. Candidate Profile

· Degree in Engineering, IT

· Understanding of refinery economics and unit operations.

· Computer proficiency, good oral/written/interpersonal communication skills, self-starter, multi-tasking capabilities, detail oriented.

· Knowledge of any of the following would be a plus:

o Power BI

 o SQL

 o Essbase

 o Excel VBA

 o Python

o SAP

o Data Reconciliation computer programs

 o Visual Basic programming language

· Flexibility of work schedule around deadlines.
