IT Business Process Architect
POSITION SUMMARY:
The MSC Business Process Architect promotes MSC business solutions that drive competitive advantage, business productivity and efficiency.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Gains in-depth understanding of MSC end-to-end business processes and operations to establish trust, intelligently collaborate and gain alignment across MSC to facilitate and effect change.
· Interacts directly with business stakeholders, implementation partners, and IT team to streamline and reengineer MSC business processes while architecting business solutions that meet MSC’s needs for business excellence, agility and efficiency.
· Leverages and applies direct experience in systems analysis, data analysis, interface design, process orchestration and workflow to develop business solutions that meet operational, performance and reporting requirements.
· Provides oversight over key programs and initiatives to ensure successful business transformation and reengineering outcomes with minimal impact to core business operations.
· Develops creative proposals for new business models as well as integrating and assimilating acquisitions.
· Applies industry best practices, standards and blueprints to accelerate delivery of MSC’s cross functional supply chain and distribution programs.
· Works collaboratively with the business and IT teams to leverage out-of-the-box functionality, evaluate alternatives, close gaps and challenge the need for development of new components.
· Understands and recommends how information should be leveraged across the enterprise for maximum value.
· Leverages lean and process modeling techniques to model, measure and quantify improvements and efficiencies.
· Partners with MSC leadership and project management teams on all assignments with the ability to accurately estimate, track, and schedule tasks and deliverables.
· Provides insight and guidance for day to day operations covering issue prioritization, defect management, and break fixes to ensure high reliability and availability of MSC systems.
· Serves as an advocate throughout the IT and business community to promote the effective use of MSC’s business process architecture and standards.
· Maintains, follows and ensures compliance with all MSC standards, policies and procedures.
· Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of vision and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.
· Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE (required except as noted):
· BS in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent degree, certification or experience.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience as a system analyst, architect, designer and/or developer with an end-to-end process view of business operations.
· Minimum of 7 years of experience with advanced supply chain, distribution and product management systems.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in business reengineering and modeling leveraging scenario based approaches and lean practices.
· Proven experience leading cross functional teams in identifying business opportunities that grow an organization to its full potential.

· Proven leadership skills that build relationships with the business community through collaboration and facilitation.
· Ability to quickly understand complex business systems and processes.
· Strong situational assessment and decision making skills.
· Strong project prioritization, planning, estimating and delivery skills.
· Excellent organizational, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to cross train and mentor associates on MSC best practices, applications, information and tools.
· Ability to quickly troubleshoot, localize, and resolve business usability and application issues.
· Hands-on approach to delivering highly intuitive, usable and productive business solutions.
· Proficient in using business process modeling tools.
· Proficient in information and business process integration solutions.
· Proficient in data analysis and SQL querying in a DB2, Oracle or MS SQL Server RDBMS
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· A valid driver’s license is required.
· Ability to travel 10-15% of the time is required.
· This position may require access to International Traffic in Arms Regulations Information (“ITAR”) and/or Controlled Unclassified Information (“CUI”).
