IT Business Relationship Manager

Position Summary

As the IT Business Relationship Manager you will be responsible for serving as the strategic interface with the assigned business segment for the purpose of business and IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. You will serve as the business relationship being a liaison between business unit and all levels within IT. You will communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate IT leaders regarding business requests, projects and initiatives. You will proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business unit. You will also work closely with the functional area senior management and the IT team to determine systems strategies and standards. 

*This position is located in Mentor, OH and will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. 

Duties

•    Establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the information technology needs and make sure they aligned with the divisional business needs.
•    Analyze the needs of functional business departments, establish priorities for feasibility studies, research options/alternatives as they relate to available shared systems and outside services, and present and prepares capital project requests. 
•    Responsible for documenting existing workflow and current business processes, gather information on user and business requirements, and draft system specification. 
•    Recognizes IT system validation concepts and provides documentation and input into the validation process. 
•    Identifies all technology related needs, assists in the prioritization of projects and activities, and ensures that projects align with technology that best provides maximum return on investment. 
•    This position will have a direct line of reporting to IT and a dotted line to the SVP/VP of the business segment.
 

Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree Required
•    7 years’ experience working hands-on with technical applications, as well as management to lead projects through full life cycle required.
•    Project Management experience with agile project management methodologies required.
•    Experience with the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) required.
•    Experience solving complex problems and/or improving existing processes is required.
•    Excellent oral and written communications and skilled in the art of persuasion. Experience working directly with internal and external customers and senior leadership required.
•    Experience developing and presenting Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR) to secure necessary project funding required.
•    Broad knowledge of information technology capabilities and characteristics, software languages and applications, data base technology, communications hardware/software, standards and procedures and data security techniques. Including extensive understanding of enterprise architectures, order management, and supply chain required. 
•    Direct experience with medical equipment manufacturing and FDA software validation requirements preferred.  Healthcare or Life Science industry knowledge and/or experience preferred.
