The IT Clinical Applications Analyst plans, designs, implements, maintains, and provides ongoing optimization and support for clinical application software. The Analyst works with our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, partners with operations and clinical leaders to translate business needs into clinical system functionality, and ensures that software build meets organizational goals and external mandates (e.g. HIPAA, meaningful use, etc.). The ideal candidate will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Responsibilities include:

·         Supports Cerner applications for designated client group.

·         Respond to end user requests for assistance with system optimization or issue resolution.

·         Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program/application needs and objectives.

·         Works within cross-functional team and with end-users to achieve application integration to meet clinical needs.

·         Performs workflow assessments, capture business needs, and analyze internal systems to determine functional requirements for optimal utilization of clinical applications.

·         Performs builds, upgrades, and system enhancements as needed. Supports applications throughout all phases of implementation.

·         Delivers post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

·         May require other duties as assigned.

 

Successful candidates will possess:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Informatics or related field, and/or equivalent substantive experience

·         5+ years relevant professional experience

·         Cerner experience preferred

·         Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

·         Thorough attention to detail

·         Customer service orientation and strong interpersonal skills necessary in order to coordinate project tasks and work effectively with stakeholders

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills

·         Able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks
