We are looking for a an IT Commercial Data Lead who is innovative, collaborative, and data-driven to join our team, based in our HQ, in Anderlecht, Belgium.
About the role
You will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing key data and technology projects across Europe and other international regions supporting our commercial organization. By leveraging advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge data solutions, you will play a vital role in ensuring our commercial operations are supported by high-quality, reliable, and innovative data systems.
Who you’ll work with
You’ll collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders, including IT, operations, brand teams, and data offices, to align data projects with the broader business strategy. You will also work closely with global and regional teams to ensure consistent, efficient, and impactful data solutions.
What you’ll do
Generative AI: Explore and implement generative AI technologies to enhance data-driven capabilities and innovation. Manage project of its implementation end to end.Analytics: Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to drive insights and support decision-making. Work closely with AI developer to bridge between G2M knowledge with their technical skillset. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide the necessary data infrastructure for advanced analytics.Master data management: Advisor & close partnership with cross functional teams on master data management project to ensure our HCP master data is well managed and integrated with the G2M architecture. Assess the commercial regional need in terms of master data (HCP matching, HCP reconciliation etc.)Data Quality: Assess from a technology stand point how we can establish and enforce data quality standards and processes to maintain the accuracy and reliability of data.Technical literacy on AI & GenAi: work closely with the regional & operations (i.e. I2I) team to support a better data, AI & GenAi literacy within the G2M organization.Cross region understanding: ensure strong collaboration with the other regional groups as well as global IT teams to ensure the architecture is well designed and connected.Data understanding & Data Flows: Manage a close understanding across the domain’s data. Develop and manage data flows for your projects to ensure seamless integration and accessibility of data across various systems.Data model & data architecture: as IT system owner of a system you will need to ensure of the good design and implement robust data architectures align with UCB data strategy that support the regional commercial needs of the organization.In addition, Brazil, the lead will need to coordinate and monitor the local technology in Brazil, managing a local resource to manage local project & systemsCollaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and Digital technology (IT), to align data strategies with business objectives.Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to the data team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills:
Fluent in English.Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.10-15+ years of experience in IT commercial and/or IT pharmaData: Proven experience in data engineering, architecture, data flows, data quality, analytics, and generative AI.Pharma: Good Pharma Technical landscape understanding (CRM, web, marketing automation, digital marketing etc)IT project management: Able to manage complex project end to end. Experience in managing planning, budget, governance, requirements, UAT, integrations, deployments, etc. Able to lead & guide a development teamSecurity: Aware on foundational of security, configuration, infrastructure concepts, AI, reporting and data structuresTechnical Expertise: knowledge on SQL, Python, LLM and R to develop and optimize data solutionsExperience in functional analysis and working with business stakeholder to translate their business requirements to technical solutions. Be able to be hands-on and with a problem solving mindset.Mindset & Communication: Have strong listening, communication, facilitation, influencing and analytical skills. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
