Syensqo is seeking an experienced IT Compliance Engineer with a strong background in Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), dual-use regulations, and the EU's Directive on Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS2). This critical role is responsible for ensuring that our IT systems and processes comply with these complex regulatory frameworks, which are vital to our operations, international trade activities, and cybersecurity posture. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of IT compliance requirements and a proven track record in managing compliance within a technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Education and experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Law, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in compliance, cybersecurity, or related areas are highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT compliance, with specific expertise in EAR, ITAR, dual-use regulations, and NIS2 or similar cybersecurity frameworks. Strong understanding of IT systems, network security, and data protection principles. Experience with compliance audits, risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of effectively collaborating with multiple departments and presenting complex compliance issues in a clear and understandable manner. Leadership qualities and the ability to drive compliance initiatives within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
