IT Compliance Specialist

ISS STOXX is growing! ISS STOXX is actively seeking a IT Compliance Specialist to join the Mumbai team (Goregaon East).

Overview:

The ISS STOXX Compliance department is looking to add an experienced specialist in building its IT compliance capabilities. This individual will primarily have day-to-day responsibility for a variety of compliance related activities around compliance requirements related to Information Technology (IT) generally and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The candidate must have a very good understanding of relevant laws and regulations as well as of the relevant technical aspects. The individual will act as the subject matter expert who needs to work independently and whose advice will be followed by the business. The reporting line will be to the Head of Governance & Corporate Compliance.    

Responsibilities:

Advise on statutory, regulatory as well as contractual requirements related to Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Perform risk-assessments

Contribute to implementation projects

Work with the business to review and test first line compliance controls and identify potential gaps

Draft and revise procedures / processes for new and existing second line controls

Participate in client due diligence presentations

Work within the department to provide reporting to interested parties

Interact and work with various second line functions (e.g. Risk Management and Information Security)

Qualifications:

Master's/Bachelor's degree in any related field is preferred.

Five years' experience centering on IT specific compliance requirements.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Independent initiative and critical thinking skills.

Data analytics and/or programming skills.

Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
