IT Coordinator

An IT Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day support of IT systems for business systems, office systems, computer networks, and telephony systems throughout the hotel.

\n

What will I be doing?
As an IT Coordinator, you will support the IT Department in its efforts to ensure the quality and delivery of IT systems for both the hotel and its Guests. These efforts will be fulfilled timely, within budget, and in accordance with IT operating standards. Specifically, the IT Coordinator will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nProvide day-to-day support for all internal hotel IT systems and users, minimizing any system outages\nRecord all issues that arise and advise the IT Manager of any issues that need further attention\nSet up and maintain computer software and hardware for team members\nRecommend system improvements to the IT Manager\nCommunicate with the hotel Front Desk Team to respond to any Guest-related IT requirements\nAdministrator of hotel systems and liaise with Hilton Support Desk on solving IT issues\nComplete IT-related projects \nUse network monitoring tools to perform periodic health check of systems\nConduct user training sessions as required\nControlling activities to ensure compliance of SOX and PCI-DSS requirements, policies & procedures and implement new standards as directed\n

\n\nPrevious IT experience, preferably in the hotel, leisure, and/or service sector\nProficiency of all Microsoft systems\nEffective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing in English and preferably also Dutch.\nExcellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill confidence to motivate and influence others.\nAble to adapt to change, be proactive and self-motivated; take responsibility for own work.\nFlexible; able to modify approach or style to achieve goals.\nExcellent time management skills; hardworking and efficient.\nTake pride in quality of work.\nAbsolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.\nAbility to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities.\nAbility to collaborate with others and act in an objective manner to effectively solve problems and stay on track towards accomplishing organizational goals.\nAbility to quickly learn new programs and train hotel staff.\nUnderstanding of principles and practical application of network monitoring tools.\n\n

Due to 24 x 7 nature of the business, able and willing to flex to the needs of the operation, which will include occasional out of hours work.

\n\nValid residence and working permit is a must!\n\n

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

\n\nA technical degree in Information Technology field or relevant work experience in lieu thereof\nIn depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems\nExperience administering networks in a Windows Server/Workstation environment.\nKnowledge of network infrastructure, including CAT5/6 cabling, wireless networks, network switches.\nExperience with these Hospitality related applications/systems:\n\nPMS, POS, Keycard, PBX, Voicemail. \nAbility to troubleshoot hardware/software problems.\n\n\n
