What You'll Do:

The Senior Manager, IT Data Governance is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of data governance policies, procedures, and standards within the organization. Reporting to the Data Intelligence Director, the Data Governance Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of data governance best practices. This role can be based out of our Global Headquarters in Wickliffe, OH, or our Global Capabilities Center in Pune, India. 

 

What You Will Do:

Strategy Development: Create and implement a robust data governance strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall business objectives and regulatory requirements. Policy and Standards Management: Develop, maintain, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure high-quality data management practices. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business units, IT, and compliance teams, to understand their data needs and challenges, ensuring that governance objectives are met. Data Quality: Establish and maintain data quality metrics and processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data assets. Training and Awareness: Design and deliver training programs and workshops to raise awareness and ensure adherence to data governance policies. Technology Enablement: Work closely with the IT department to implement tools and technologies that support effective data governance practices. Compliance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with data governance policies and procedures, and address any issues or risks related to data management. Reporting and Metrics: Develop and deliver regular reports and dashboards to track the progress and effectiveness of data governance initiatives.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, leadership experience preferred. 7+ years in complex matrixed organization with stakeholder management experience Expertise: Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices. Leadership: Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive cross-functional teams towards a common goal. Communication: Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate data-related risks and issues. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data governance tools and technologies, such as data cataloging, metadata management, and data quality tools. Experience with SAP preferred, SAP MDG a plus.

 

What Will Put You Ahead:

Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Professional certifications in data governance (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional) are a plus. Proven experience with management of enterprise-wide, global programs. Experience with SAP preferred, SAP MDG a plus. Functional understanding of data management and catalog tools such as Purview, Collibra, Informatica, Alation. Functional understanding of analytics technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Azure, Google Cloud Platform or Informatica.
