IT Desktop Support Specialist
5 days/week onsite in West Des Moines
4 openings (contract, from 1/21-4/30) w/ possible extensions
General Comments
PURPOSE
* Provide hardware, software, and mobile support for business and IT users within the organization primarily in West Des Moines with smaller offices located in other areas of the country.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Install, maintain, and update PC hardware and software
* Test, configure and troubleshoot within one or more of the above areas.
* Perform regular monitoring to ensure efficient operation and accuracy.
* Identifies, escalates and makes recommendations for improvement.
* Communicate to stakeholders regarding status, quality, risks, and operations.
* Complete and document break/fix incidents and move/add/change requests.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Desktop support experience required.
* Certifications are a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Knowledge in one or more of the following: troubleshooting PC hardware issues for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices; troubleshooting PC software issues; understanding of the Windows 10/11 operating system.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Good attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives concurrently.
