Job Overview: The Director of IT will manage the IT department with a focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, especially Business Central. This role ensures seamless integration and optimal functionality across the organization. Responsibilities include overseeing IT infrastructure, crafting technology strategies, and enhancing operational efficiency through effective software and systems use. The director will collaborate with various departments, support key initiatives, and align IT capabilities with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
* Set strategic direction for IT initiatives that support organizational goals.
* Develop and implement IT strategies to align with overarching objectives.
* Identify technological improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and boost operational performance.
* Lead initiatives to streamline processes by maximizing IT and software integration.
ERP Systems Management:
* Oversee the management, configuration, and optimization of Business Central to support key processes such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Plan to Produce, and Record to Report.
* Ensure Business Central integrates seamlessly with finance, production, quality, and supply chain operations.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams to embed ERP functionalities into daily operations.
* Maintain ERP systems to ensure they are updated, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
IT Infrastructure & Support:
* Manage the organization's IT infrastructure, covering network security, data management, hardware, software, and cybersecurity protocols.
* Lead IT support services to ensure timely resolution of system issues and provide user training on Business Central and other software tools.
* Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for IT equipment, software licensing, and system maintenance.
Compliance & Security:
* Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, data privacy laws, and industry standards.
* Oversee cybersecurity measures to safeguard company data and systems, implementing best practices and addressing emerging threats.
Software Integration & Project Support:
* Assist cross-functional projects by ensuring effective understanding and utilization of Business Central and other software systems.
* Collaborate with departments such as production, quality assurance, finance, and HR to determine software requirements and facilitate technology integration into daily operations.
* Partner with functional departments to drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics and system capabilities to enhance production and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
* 8-10 years of IT management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing ERP systems (Business Central) in a manufacturing setting, ideally food manufacturing.
* Strong project management experience, particularly in software implementation and systems integration.
* Familiarity with food industry regulations and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
* Proficiency in ERP systems, data management, IT infrastructure, and software solutions relevant to manufacturing.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across functions.
* Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for technological enhancements and operational efficiency.
Skills & Competencies:
* In-depth understanding of ERP systems (e.g., Business Central) and their application in manufacturing.
* Proven ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels with a strong customer service focus.
