The Director of Data Management & Analytics will lead a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the integrity, organization, and effective use of data across the enterprise. The role is crucial for coordinating data-driven work, leading all aspects of multiple data warehouses, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, disaster recovery, and legacy system deprecation if necessary. We are looking for someone with foresight in technical matters, shown leadership capabilities, and deep knowledge of data management in traditional and modern cloud-based settings.

Location: This is a Hybrid role based out of our HQ3 location, in Newport News, VA, in accordance with the Company Name Flex schedule; 3-days office / 2-days remote.

Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and manage analytics team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the successful delivery of data-driven initiatives.Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities for team members.Lead and manage a command center focused on 24/7 support of all data pipelines and infrastructure, identifying and addressing issues in real-time to ensure operational continuity and reliability.Be responsible for resource allocation, workload balancing, and performance management.Serve as the EDA Control Owner and Reviewer for 58 SOX technology controls, ensuring quarterly, monthly, and per-occurrence reviews are performed in a timely and accurate manner.Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations (e.g., PII and PCI), and drive data governance initiatives across the enterprise.Manage and supervise all aspects of data access approval for the data warehouse, including maintaining a secure, auditable access control process.Ensure the integrity, availability, and accessibility of data within these systems, providing timely support for business-critical needs.Engage with key business collaborators to develop prioritization of technology delivery models and create enterprise solutions that fit business needs.Responsible for critical operational activity i.e. month-end processing within both Legacy and Azure data warehouses, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting.Act as the Service Owner and Disaster Recovery TRP (Test, Recovery, and Planning) Owner for critical data systems, including Azure EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse), Azure SDW, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and the Legacy Data Warehouse.Lead the deprecation of legacy systems (DWFEI, Data Manager, DataStage), including the migration of data and processes to modern, cloud-based platforms.Drive cost optimization efforts as cost center owner while maintaining high-quality service delivery and data management practices.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or equivalent experience.8+ years of experience in data management, data analytics, or data engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale data systems, including both on-premises and cloud-based data platforms, with a bias towards Azure and Databricks.Solid experience in managing enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, data pipelines and related systems, as well as a deep understanding of data architecture and standard processes.Proficiency with Azure technologies, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power App Platform, including Power BI.Experience with legacy data systems Oracle Exadata databases, IBM/Cognos Data Manager, DataStage) and the ability to transition and migrate data from legacy to modern platforms.Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance (e.g., SOX).Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution for complex data systems.Demonstrable ability to lead, encourage, and develop high-performing teams.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership, technical teams, and business partners.Ability to navigate and influence complex organizational environments and drive multi-functional collaboration.

$9,409.50 - $17,467.50

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
