Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. Summary of Role:

This summer intern opportunity is in the Global Foundries IT organization, as an IT Enablement Business Analyst.  The focus will be on analyzing large datasets and identifying process or system improvements

Essential Responsibilities include:

Will learn Global Foundries IT’s major system landscape, transformation programs driven by IT and major trends in the company’s diverse lines of business. This awareness is essential to understand the processes and data which will be the focus of the internship.Demand Management is the process for Global Foundries business groups to request new systems or enhancements to existing systems. The process of Demand Management will be analyzed by identifying different personas and documenting each step of the process by the persona groups.The data of each process of IT Demand Management will be collected and analyzed, looking for averages, trends, and outliers.  Outliers will be analyzed, and with the process owners, corrective action plans will be developed. The output of the internship is a data-based proposal on how to make Demand Management more efficient.

Other Responsibilities:

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Master’s in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology Management or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior related internship or co-op experienceDemonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning & organizational skillsAbility to manage large data sets in Excel of similar system, with basic level of statistical analysis skillsStrong skills in meeting with process owners to document their process, identify where similar and where different, with learning what drives the differences
