General Summary:
Looking for an experienced Active directory Engineer to manage the Qualcomm Active directory and AzureAD/EntraID infrastructure
The person filling this position will be a senior member of the Directory Engineering team at Qualcomm.
The Directory Engineering team is an infrastructure, integration, and operations team responsible for Identity Management account life cycle and access controls for Qualcomm and Qualcomm Partners.
This includes but is not limited to Active Directory. One of the Directory Engineering teams primary areas of responsibility is to ensure that we have a highly available, highly stable identity infrastructure while always providing exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will work with various cross organizational IT teams and business units within Qualcomm to research, design and release business solutions for corporate Active Directory and related environments.
This role requires an in depth knowledge of Active Directory, Federation, Windows Server 2008R2/2012 R2, Windows security, and related technologies Scope of role involves exposure to:
Experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including: Progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
Experience and knowledge of AD, ADFS, PKI in Windows Server 2008/2012R2, Windows Server 2012 R2 PowerShell scripting DNS, DHCP, DFS, in a Windows 2012R2 landscape.
Experience working on CyberArk PAM and PSM Solution.
Core Competencies
• Experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including: Progressive advancement in responsibility including deep troubleshooting technical skills.
• Experience and knowledge of AD, ADFS, PKI in Windows Server 2008/2012R2, Windows Server 2012 R2 PowerShell scripting DNS, DHCP, DFS, in a Windows 2012R2 landscape.
• Experience working on EntraID/AzureAD, Conditional Access, SSPR.
• Monitoring best practices. SCOM, Sitescope.
• Experience with infrastructure and server theories, principles and concepts; application infrastructure and standards; networking fundamentals, Windows Physical Server architecture, Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware), and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies
• Experience applications like IIS Web, SharePoint Experience administering Active Directory (AD) and GPOs
• Experience with LDAP directory Infrastructure principles and concepts .
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer support skills
Preferred Competencies
• Knowledge of Microsoft Forefront Identity Management (FIM/MIM), Microsoft Exchange are preferable.
• Must have an understanding of how to identify and instill industry best practices...
• Ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users.
• Develops, documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory, and related systems Experience with other LDAP directories desired (Oracle a plus) Linux understanding desired
• Analytical Skills - The ability to collect information and identify fundamental patterns/trends in data. This includes the ability to gather, integrate, and interpret information from several sources.
• Decision Making - The ability to make quick, accurate decisions. This includes the ability to weigh alternatives and take into account the impact of the decisions on people, equipment, or other resources.
• IT Security - Knowledge of IT security policies and how to apply them when working with end-users. This includes the ability to adhere to policies even when faced with end-user challenges.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.OR
5+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.
