The Role
Veeva Systems is looking for an onsite IT Engineer (End User Services) to support our employees in our new Boston, MA office and throughout the Americas. The successful candidate will be someone with a broad skillset / background in the field of End User Support and IT Infrastructure, a self-starter who can balance day to day operations with speed and efficiency while still planning and working towards long term goals.
Your day-to-day role will be very hands on managing end to end desktop support, from procurement to deployment, and ensuring our employees have the IT services and support they need to be productive. We are looking for someone with a strong service focus and customer-first mentality who wants to grow their career alongside the rest of the business in the region.What You'll DoInteract with internal clients to help resolve all levels of IT-related issues and provide answers in a timely mannerExecutive support as neededIT account and asset management for onboarding/offboarding of employeesDiagnosis and repair of end-user devicesIT ticket managementResolution of escalated technical IT mattersManage and deploy corporate PCs/MacsSupport company eventsSupport conference room hardware (Zoom Rooms) setups and troubleshootingCoordinate warranty repairsShip, recycle, and dispose of devicesAssist in the management of hosted IT applications (Google G Suite, O365, Zoom, Okta, etc.)Participate in staffing the Virtual Walk-up (open Zoom Room) for end users who need helpProvide occasional on-call weekend supportLook for ways to improve current processes and make suggestions for improvementsRequirements2+ years of experience in a desktop support role within a global organization across multiple regions and time zonesExcellent verbal/written communicationExperience in supporting Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and Chrome OSExperience with G Suite and Office365Can troubleshoot hardware/software issues for Windows and Apple devicesCan perform software installations and upgrades for various types of applicationsExcellent verbal and interpersonal skillsShows a history of giving excellent customer service and focusHighly motivated individual with experience getting things done in an adaptive environmentAble to travel within North AmericaNice to HaveITIL, CompTIA, and/or Microsoft certificationsKnowledge of general IT security controls and best practicesExperience documenting IT applications and training usersCisco Meraki knowledgeKnowledge of asset management best practicesPrevious experience with cloud/SaaS and/or virtualization technologiesPerks & BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and basic life insuranceFlexible PTO and company paid holidaysRetirement programs1% charitable giving programCompensationBase pay: $65,000 - $105,000The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.
