Job OverviewThe Enterprise Architecture (EA) Manager will focus on managing operations of the EA team. The EA Manager will collaborate and execute on the strategy and vision defined by the EA Director for the EA function. The EA Manager partners with the Director of EA, IT Directors and Business Partners and EA team to execute and lead enterprise level initiatives tied to business strategy and objectives. The EA Manager collaborates with the Director of EA to develop, implement and/or maintain enterprise level architecture strategies, standards and processes. The individual must have experience with business collaboration, people leadership and stakeholder engagement and influence. The EA Manager will also need to have and continue to develop business knowledge and effectively share knowledge with the EA team. The EA Manager will collaborate with the Director of EA on technical decisions that enable strategic objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities Manage the operations of the Enterprise Architecture Team and ensures all defined architecture processes are followed Communicate, monitor and enforce EA processes, procedures, and decisions that are in the best interest of CCCI as an entire organization Assist Director of EA to review and adapt architecture processes and procedures as the EA function grows and matures Partner with Director of EA to influence key stakeholders to drive change across the enterprise Mentor and coach direct reports on EA team including building out skill growth plans Help to document understanding of the organization’s business processes, goals, and strategies to spread knowledge across the EA Team Partner with Director of EA to maintain organizational level 1-, 3-, and 5-year EA roadmap aligned to business objectives Partner with Director of EA, IT Directors and Business Partners to align business needs and IT requirements at the organization level Enforce total solution evaluation for new technologies or solutions brought into the organization. Hold emerging technologies knowledge sharing sessions where there is relevance and value add to accomplish CCCI business objectives Monitor adherence to Enterprise Architecture processes and standards in partnership with Director of EA Assist Director of EA with managing budget and headcount for the EA functionKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities To be successful in this position the individual needs to have: Excellent management skills Ability to execute on and contribute to strategic vision and roadmap Ability to help influence and work with Leadership, Business, IT Directors, Architects, PMO, Delivery Teams and a variety or other roles to solve business problems leveraging technology Ability to develop and grow resource talent across the EA team Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and ability to apply concepts that work within the organization Knowledge of application, business, cloud, data, infrastructure, and security architecture disciplines Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various hierarchical levels. Critical thinking skills along with strong problem-solving skills Leadership expectations include managing direct reports on the EA team to provide the right solutions to business verticals based on defined priorities
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (4 years) or equivalent Technology Certification Knowledge acquired through 7+ years of work experience 7+ Years of experience spanning multiple IT disciplines/domains, such as technical architecture, application development, middleware, database management, cloud management, mobile management, data integrations and exchange frameworks, agile delivery, CI/CD 3+ years of IT management experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field 5+ Years of Agile Delivery in a Matrixed Organizational Structure Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies, technologies and trends in both business and IT, with preferred experience with agile methodologies Knowledge and experience managing all aspects of application software and services in the Microsoft suite of products, and the dominant cloud platforms (especially Azure) Work Environment Position is Charlotte, NC based with need to be in the office 3+ days per week
