IT Expert Lead - Intelligent Automation

ING Hubs Slovakia is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING’s global clients. Our mission is to harmonize and standardize products and processes in order to give an outstanding and differentiating client experience. To support our growth and harmonization we are now looking to build a new Robotics Process Automation team in Bratislava. The mission of the team will be to accelerate in the identification, analysis and execution of robotics activities, while delivering efficiency, consistency and quality improvements to our banking operations worldwide.

As Expert Lead, you will lead the development and execution of the RPA team from vision and concept to sustainability, by managing and developing an expert team while taking into account the internal customers’ and ING clients’ needs, the environment and society.

You are combining in an approximate ratio of 70% to 30% the role of individual contributor and people manager in an Agile way of working (WoW) organization. You act as a servant leader instead of hierarchical top-down manager. You are responsible for facilitating, supporting and motivating team members to achieve common goals.

Together with your team members you will:

Evaluate business needs and user requirements across various departments to actively identify Robotics opportunitiesConduct requirements analysis and formulate specifications for impacted systemsContribute to the design, development and testing of RPA processesEnsure Robot is seamlessly implemented into team’s workflow by reviewing and recommending changes to overall operating model (i.e. ensure any supporting processes get re-designed / updated as well)Provide regular progress updates to management including highlighting any potential delivery risks or issuesManaging the relationship with IT to deliver a stable and scalable RPA platform that is fit for purposeEnd to end coordination with process owners, developers and IT teams to implement projectsWork closely with Business Units and departments to ensure conformance to governance and processesTrack and monitor RPA automation performance, KPIs etcReview process documentation i.e. scorecard, process definition, solution design and user documentIdentify best practices and continuous improvement in RPA solutions


You will also be responsible for:

Personality requirements and skills:

Strong Robotic Process Automation management experience / knowledgeAble to influence at Executive/SLT levelStrong Process Improvement backgroundAble to develop innovate automation ideas and turn them into viable solutionsAble to implement solutions and quickly overcome barriers to deliver tangible benefitsStrong leadership / stakeholder management4+ years’ experience with people management (preferably from a banking, IT or shared services background)IT BackgroundExperience with applying Lean principles5+ years of experience in business process automation or as a business analystExperience with creating process flow diagrams in UML (or similar tooling)Abstract and analytical thinking, you are able to understand business processes and translate them into generic workflowsEntrepreneurial work style, in which you regularly step “outside the walls” of your role to drive innovative thinking and practiceAbility to empower people through leadership, coaching skills and by acting as a role modelInfluence skills with local and global functional leaders to ensure global collaboration without losing track of your role as service providerBS/BA degree or higherFluent in English (C1 level)

Wage (gross)

3250 EUR/month

*By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
