IT Functional Consultant

Job Summary

About the Role: We seek a highly skilled Functional Consultant specializing in Business Central and Dynamics CRM to join our Dynamics 365 team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both Business Central and Dynamics CRM platforms and have a strong background in developing, customizing, and implementing these solutions. This role involves working closely with various departments to streamline business processes, enhance reporting capabilities, integrate AI technologies, manage data migration for new acquisitions, administer the Dynamics, Azure, and Office 365 environments, and integrate with third-party vendors. The Functional Consultant will also be responsible for comprehensive documentation and user training.


Essential Functions 

Development and Customization:Customize and configure Business Central and Dynamics CRM solutions using the Power Platform.Develop and implement AI capabilities within the Dynamics 365 ecosystem to enhance functionality and efficiency.Create and manage custom workflows, plugins, and integrations to meet business needs.Reporting and Data Analysis:Utilize SQL and Power BI to design, develop, and maintain insightful and actionable reports.Analyze business data to support decision-making and optimize business processes.Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting platforms.Business Process Improvement:Collaborate with various departments to identify and analyze business requirements.Design and implement efficient business processes within Dynamics 365 to enhance operational effectiveness.Provide recommendations for process improvements and automation.Business Analysis:Conduct thorough business analysis to understand and document business needs, challenges, and opportunities.Develop detailed business requirements and functional specifications for system enhancements and new features.Data Migration and Onboarding:Lead data migration efforts while onboarding new acquisitions, ensuring data integrity and seamless integration into existing systems.Collaborate with acquisition teams to understand data structures, perform data mapping, and execute data migration plans.Provide post-migration support to ensure data accuracy and resolve any issues.Administration:Administrate the Dynamics, Azure, and Office 365 environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.Manage user accounts, permissions, and security settings across Dynamics 365, Azure, and Office 365 platforms.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary updates and patches.Integration with Third-Party Vendors:Develop and manage integrations between Dynamics 365 and third-party vendor systems.Ensure seamless data flow and process integration with external vendors.Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues as they arise.Documentation and Training:Develop comprehensive documentation for system configurations, customizations, and processes.Create and deliver user training sessions and materials to ensure effective adoption and utilization of Dynamics 365 solutions.Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for end-users.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to align Dynamics 365 solutions with business objectives.Participate in cross-functional team meetings to ensure cohesive implementation and project success.Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to all stakeholders.Additional Duties:Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in Dynamics 365, Business Central, and related technologies.Participate in continuous professional development opportunities, such as training sessions and conferences.Contribute to the overall strategic planning and direction of the Dynamics 365 team.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data security and privacy.Perform regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and identify areas for improvement.Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans for Dynamics 365, Azure, and Office 365 environments.Manage and coordinate with external consultants and vendors as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of the Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.Familiarity with AI technologies and their application within business solutions.Excellent documentation and training skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, PreferredProven experience in Business Central and Dynamics CRM implementation and customization.Proficiency in SQL and experience with data analysis and reporting.Experience in business analysis and data migration during acquisitions.Experience in administrating Dynamics, Azure, and Office 365 environments.Experience in integrating with third-party vendors.Experience with other Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules.Certification in Dynamics 365 or related technologies.Understanding of cloud computing and Azure services.
