Noblis is seeking to hire an IT Graphics Designer (UX) with an ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph in Chantilly, VA

 

Professionals in user experience (UX) are responsible for designing and optimizing the end-to-end experience that users have when interacting with digital products, services, or systems. They employ a human-centered design approach to understand user needs, behaviors, and preferences, and translate insights into intuitive and engaging user interfaces. Typical responsibilities include conducting user research, such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather feedback and validate design decisions, creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts and workflows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to iterate on designs and deliver seamless user experiences. UX roles advocate for user-centric design principles and best practices, ensuring that products are accessible, intuitive, and enjoyable to use for diverse audiences. Their expertise in areas such as interaction design, information architecture, usability principles, and user interface (UI) design enables organizations to create products and services that meet user needs, drive engagement, and deliver value.

 

 

 

You are responsible for leading individual projects, people, or technical/functional solutions. Work on assignments in multiple business or technical areas; apply advanced concepts and understanding of policies, procedures, and techniques. Influence at the team or department level; participate in policy and procedure development. Receive general supervision, apply seasoned judgment autonomously.

Job Responsibilities 

Design and develop user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) for web and mobile applications. Create visually appealing graphics, icons, and other design elements to support various projects. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs align with project requirements and user needs. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts and functionality. Ensure designs are consistent with branding guidelines and industry best practices. Stay current with trends, technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design and graphic design. Provide feedback and guidance to other team members on design-related matters. Maintain and update design documentation, including style guides and design specifications. Assist with other design-related tasks and special projects as needed.  Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, Computer Science, or a related field. Alternatively, demonstrate an additional 4 years of related acquisition experience per level if no bachelor's degree is held. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph Experience as a UX/UI designer or graphic designer, preferably in a technical or defense-related environment. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, Figma, or similar. Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and ability to work closely with developers. 

 

Junior-Level  

Bachelor's degree  0 - 5 years of experience Compensation:  $73,200 - $152,225

  

Mid-Level  

Bachelor's degree  5 - 10 years of experience Compensation: $107,100 - $167,325 

  

Desired Qualifications Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools. Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines. Experience in designing for government or defense-related projects. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.  Overview

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.
