Syensqo is expanding its capabilities by adding a Global Capability Center (GCC) in Pune, India. The GCC's vision is to develop and deliver IT services as an extension to our global teams.

The Information Technology (IT) Head of the Global Capability Center (GCC) will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the center's success in delivering business value. This role involves managing multi-functional teams across diverse verticals, driving innovation, and ensuring seamless collaboration with global stakeholders. The individual will serve as a key link between the GCC and the parent organization, championing excellence in service delivery, talent development, and cost efficiencies.
In detail, the IT Head of GCC will have the following responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the strategic vision for the GCC in alignment with the Central IT’s global goals. Act as the primary point of contact for senior leadership, providing regular updates on the GCC's performance and value delivery. Drive initiatives to expand the center's capabilities and services, ensuring alignment with global business needs.
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day operations of the GCC, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timeliness in service delivery. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the center's success and implement improvement strategies as needed. Manage budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with global business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor to understand and meet their needs. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration across geographies and time zones.
Talent Development and Culture Building
Attract, retain, and develop top talent across diverse skill sets. Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being. Implement robust training and development programs to enhance the capabilities of the workforce.
Innovation and Process Excellence
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging technology and best practices to optimize processes. Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and data-driven decision-making to enhance the GCC's efficiency and effectiveness. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Governance and Compliance
Ensure that the GCC adheres to all corporate policies, ethical guidelines, and local legal requirements. Lead audits and compliance initiatives, ensuring transparency and accountability. Market Insights and Competitiveness Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to maintain the GCC's competitive edge. Proactively recommend and implement changes to stay ahead in a dynamic market environment.
This position requires a proven leader with experience in managing large-scale, multifunctional teams and driving global business outcomes. Success in this role will hinge on strategic vision, operational excellence, and the ability to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Education and experience
At least 16 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
