IT HR Business Analyst Co-op
WHAT YOU'LL DO

​​The IT HR Business Analyst Co-Op is a position within BCG’s Workday Delivery Team (WDT).  WDT is a new group in the HR Agile Systems Team and supports the development of new features and enhancements in our HR System, Workday.  The role of WDT includes developing new features and enhancing existing applications, as well as integrating and configuring third party software applications used by the Global HR, Finance, Marketing and Legal functions and implementing new software functionality to the business.  The WDT supports the Global Leadership Team and the users by providing the firm with people and information to assist in managing the business. 

​You will join a Global team with responsibility for the configuration, deployment and support of multiple HR systems supporting all BCG offices worldwide.  The team supports HR systems that include core HR, compensation, and performance management.  As part of the team, the co-op in this role will assist with system testing/troubleshooting, updates, documentation, application support, data analysis and reporting.  The role will take direction from the HR Systems Director, Project leader, Business Analysts and functional managers on the project teams.  

​To be successful this individual must be well organized and detail oriented, and able to adapt to changing needs and expectations with a strong desire to learn new processes and systems. 


YOU'RE GOOD AT

​​The IT HR Business Analyst Co-op will assist in a variety of tasks to help support the ongoing HR Systems agenda, including: 

​Application testing & troubleshooting:  The role will be given responsibility for testing Workday or specific components of applications to make sure they work properly and are compatible with other downstream systems.  The role will also help with troubleshooting user problems and use problem solving skills to determine root cause of issues. 

​Documentation & training materials:  Using tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, the role will assist with the documentation of specific application functionality. 

​Data extraction and analysis:  Using tools such as Microsoft Excel or Access, the role will partner with business analysts to determine the best way to deliver data to business users.   The role will learn how to run reports, query a database to generate data and format the data for use by others. 

​Support:  The role will partner with various members of the IT Workday Delivery Team to respond to support questions, enhancement and /or maintenance requests.  May also help with project planning using tools like Microsoft Project. 

​Management: This role will be given responsibility to manage the enhancement list on Microsoft SharePoint, Jira, ServiceNow, Trello and PowerPoint. May also help with logging and managing tickets with different support and service centres.  

​Coordinate: The role will help coordinate and follow up with the Workday Delivery Team BA’s to go through the sprint cycle process step by step.  

​Data Organization: This role will assist the team with coming up with solutions to organize existing data and information in order to make the enhancement process more efficient.   

​Responsible for tracking and reporting on Requests and Incidents reported by end users in ServiceNow. 

​Maintain employee level data at a Global level: This role has direct responsibility over the security/visibility of HR workers around the world and what they can see/do in Workday


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

Must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in Northeastern University and approved by the university to participate in the January to June 2025 co-op cycle

​Experience with Microsoft Excel is required 

​Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project and Outlook) is preferred 

​Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business and in keeping with BCG’s values and culture. 

​Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program. Current college/university must have an existing co-op partnership with BCG's Global Services organization and recognize full-time employment as academic credit that will be part of the student's official transcript 

​Must meet the co-op program eligibility requirements of the current college/university's academic department and student must be approved by the college/university to participate in the co-op program 

​Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the minimum duration of the co-op cycle  

​Must be authorized to work in the United States
