This role will focus on impactful projects that support our operations across Parker Canada. You will engage in a variety of assignments, focusing on both end-user/help desk support and systems development. Your role will involve providing system analysis and programming, allowing you to develop a strong understanding of the business processes that drive our operations. The start date for this role will be May 2025, for a duration of 12 months. + End-User Support: Provide high-quality help desk support to end-users, addressing technical issues and ensuring a seamless user experience. + Systems Development: Participate in programming assignments that involve the development and enhancement of interactive local web-based applications using technologies such as: + C# + .NET Framework (3.5+) + HTML + ASP.NET + T-SQL + JavaScript + SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) + SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) + Data Visualization: Utilize tools like Power BI and Power Automate to create insightful reports and automate processes, enhancing data accessibility and decision-making. + Business Insight: Gain valuable insights into the business side of IT processes, contributing to projects that align technology with organizational goals. + Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a productive and innovative work environment. + Currently enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. + Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. + Adaptable and open to new challenges, viewing them as opportunities for growth and learning. + Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
