IT Lead Business Analyst - Commercial Europe

Based in our Amsterdam office, the Lead Business Analyst is responsible for solving complex business problems with automated systems. He/She will act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, with a view to developing effective and scalable systems and procedures. He/She will be responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the European teams with a specific focus on the Commercial function. He/She will be responsible for understanding business processes, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and Information Systems (IS) technical teams.

What you will do:

Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems and the delivery of new solutions and enhancementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with the European Commercial teams, including Marketing, Sales, Pricing, Finance, etc.Improve the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and educationDefine tangible use cases that align desired technology output to commercial objectivesRecommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomesEnsure clear communication between business stakeholders and IS technical teamsImprove the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education

What you need:

Required:

Bachelor’s degreeMinimum 7 years of professional experienceAbility to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and controlExperience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable formatDemonstrated ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processesExperience working with high level business stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and organized with a strong desire to succeed

Preferred:

Bachelor’s in business administration or computer information systemsQualification in Business Analysis or equivalentKnowledge of Agile Development methodologiesExperience with Salesforce.comExperience working in a regulated environmentKnowledge of finance terminology and processes would be helpfulInternational and/or life-sciences experience would also be an asset
