10 years of enterprise database administration experience, with 3+ years of database administration experience in supporting SQL Server in MS Azure Design, implement and maintain SQL Server database systems, working with database administrators, software developers, data architects and infrastructure engineers to create optimized and scalable solutions Expert - level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server from architecture to administration including design, development, and optimization of SQL Server databases Work with application team providing expertise in logical database design Perform specific database performance monitoring and tuning tasks including the design of optimization and indexing schemes, as well as partitioning for complex projects Responsible for influencing projects/initiatives and making decisions related to SQL Architecture and database administration best practices Assist in determining the effectiveness of existing technologies and processes in relation to the SQL Architecture, create necessary implementation/migration plans, and recommend new solutions as required Extensive understanding of SQL Server (2017, 2016, 20012, etc.) Proficient in designing/implementing/administering large and complex SQL Server environments Proven work experience and familiarity with best practices, technologies, concepts, and configurations relating to Backups/Restores, Disaster Recovery, High Availability (Always-On, Clustering),Monitoring and Alerting, Data Integration, and System Optimization Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills with demonstrated experience documenting and working through issues as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively Strong customer service focus and ability to manage customer expectations Must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities SQL Server DBMS SQL Server (2017, 2016, 20012, etc.) Experience designing/implementing/administering large and complex SQL Server environments cloud and non-cloud based environments Experience with Windows /SQL HA technologies (Always On, clustering, mirroring, log shipping) MUST
